Contracts

How do I get a contract for CC Returnable Transport Items?

Contact CC to get a quote. When you have decided upon the contract type (e.g. long-term hire or short-term hire) and quantities, CC will send you a contract for your signature. See also when and where you will receive the hired units.

What happens when my Long Term Hire contract period expires?

CC contract periods vary, usually 5 or 7 years, and they are the subject of a single payment at the beginning for the basic value of the equipment. There then follows an invoice each year for the annual CC Pool Fee. Once the contract period is up, it is then automatically renewed year on year by the payment of the annual CC Pool Fee. We emphasise, you will not be charged any further hire price, only the annual fee.

How do I make a contract termination or contract reduction?

If  for some reason you have an excess of CC Returnable Transport Items on long-term hire contract, you have the option to sell the contracts to a third party (see next question and answer below) at market price, or you can return the equipment to CC as specified in the contract. The equipment must be returned to a specified CC Depot.

For more information, see the section Join the CC Pool System.

How do I transfer a contract to a third party?

If you wish to sell / transfer your contracts to a third party, you have to send a signed confirmation to CC, and preferably also a signed confirmation from the new contracting party. Certainly, CC will need full details of the responsible third party concerned, and CC will then transfer all obligations connected to the relevant contracts to the new owner at a modest contract transfer fee.

See also the section Join the CC Pool System.

Can I combine my CC contracts into one single contract?

Due to legislation, this is not an option that we can offer you. However, we can combine all your invoices so that you only receive one invoice from CC annually to cover the Pool Fee. Please contact your local CC Office

What do I do with my CC Contracts if my company changes name or if I sell my company?

If your company changes name or is sold / acquired, the CC contracts must be transferred to the new owner / company name via a contract transfer, see above.
