The CC Rolly is a rolling pallet with internal dimensions corresponding to a ½ Euro Pallet, and allowing two stacks of 600 x 400mm plastic crates or other equivalent European modules to be carried. The external dimensions of the CC Rolly are a little wider, therefore providing space for the protection of carried product through the supply chain and in store.
The unit has been developed for the transport of modular packaging (crates, cardboard boxes, etc.) and for rolling directly onto the supermarket floor as a merchandising display unit. Its narrow profile in height makes it almost unnoticeable, which is fully intentional – so customers see the product on sale, not what it is sitting on.
The CC Rolly is made from steel which has then been hot dip galvanised to provide long life protection against corrosion. This very stable product functions well in temperatures ranging from +70°C to -30°C - even down to -40°C for short periods of time. The design of the product makes it very suitable for mechanical handling and automation. The smooth rounded corners, matching the corners of the crates – CC Freshboxes and CC Eurocrates – make it safe in use and easier to position. There are indentations in the outer frame of the Rolly which serve both to strengthen it and to protect strapping, used to secure crate stacks, from damage.
CC Rollys are stackable. They have a patented swivel wheel design that has a groove formed around the load bearing outer surface. When stacking, this locates onto a raised peg in a locating pocket on the CC Rolly below. Tests have shown that this dramatically improves safety from falling over due to accidental side impact to a stack.
